Pelvic Health & Urogynocology

Specialized Care for Bladder, Bowel, and Pelvic Floor Conditions

Dr. Gregory J. Bailey is a board-certified urogynecologist with more than 20 years dedicated to pelvic healthcare. Our team treats a wide range of pelvic floor disorders using both non-surgical and advanced surgical approaches tailored to each patient.

We always begin with the least invasive options and progress thoughtfully based on your symptoms, anatomy, and goals.

Pelvic Organ Prolapse Treatment

Pelvic organ prolapse occurs when the support structures of the bladder, uterus, or rectum weaken. While common, it can significantly affect comfort and daily life.

Our stepwise treatment approach may include:

  • Watchful waiting for mild, stable prolapse

  • Lifestyle modifications to reduce pelvic pressure

  • Pelvic floor physical therapy

  • Pessary fitting for non-surgical support

  • Topical vaginal estrogen when appropriate

  • Advanced surgical repair when needed

When surgery is the best option, Dr. Bailey performs both vaginal repairs and minimally invasive robotic prolapse surgery, offering precise correction and smoother recovery.

Urinary Incontinence Treatment

Urinary leakage is common but highly treatable. Identifying the type of incontinence is the key to choosing the right solution.

Our evaluation and treatment pathway may include:

  • In-office diagnostic testing (urodynamics and pelvic ultrasound when indicated)
  • Bladder training and behavioral strategies
  • Pelvic floor strengthening
  • Targeted medications
  • Minimally invasive procedures including urethral bulking agents (Bulkamid), and Botox® bladder injections
  • Mid-urethral sling surgery for stress incontinence
  • InterStim® neuromodulation or tibial nerve stimulation (Altaviva) for urgency symptoms

Most patients experience meaningful improvement without needing surgery.

Overactive Bladder (OAB) Care

Overactive bladder can disrupt sleep, daily routines, and quality of life. We use a structured, step-by-step approach to restore bladder control.

Treatment options may include:

  • Bladder retraining techniques
  • Dietary trigger management
  • Pelvic floor therapy
  • Oral medications
  • Topical vaginal estrogen (when appropriate)
  • Botox® bladder injections
  • PTNS nerve therapy
  • InterStim® neuromodulation or tibial nerve stimulation (Altaviva) for advanced cases

Our goal is to help you regain confidence and reduce urgency episodes as simply as possible.

Bowel Control Treatment

Bowel urgency, leakage, and constipation-related pelvic floor issues are more common than many patients realize. We evaluate these concerns thoroughly and treat them with complete discretion.

Care may include:

  • Dietary and lifestyle adjustments
  • Pelvic floor physical therapy
  • Targeted medications
  • Solesta® bulking therapy for seepage
  • InterStim® neuromodulation for bowel incontinence

Non-Surgical Pelvic Floor Treatments

Whenever possible, we prioritize conservative care.

Non-surgical options may include:

  • Bladder retraining
  • Dietary and fluid guidance
  • Pelvic floor exercises
  • Pelvic floor physical therapy referral
  • Vaginal pessary fitting
  • Topical estrogen therapy
  • Medications for bladder symptoms
  • Botox® or nerve stimulation therapies

InterStim® Neuromodulation

InterStim® is an advanced therapy for patients with bladder or bowel control problems that have not improved with conservative care. The therapy gently stimulates the sacral nerve to help restore normal communication between the brain and pelvic organs.

A temporary trial is performed first to confirm benefit before any permanent implant. For appropriate candidates, this therapy can be life-changing.

Advanced Surgical Options

When surgery is recommended, you can feel confident you are in highly experienced hands.

Procedures offered include:

  • Vaginal prolapse repair
  • Robotic sacrocolpopexy and related procedures
  • Mid-urethral sling for stress incontinence
  • InterStim® implantation
  • Other reconstructive pelvic floor procedures

Every recommendation is made carefully, with a full discussion of risks, benefits, recovery, and alternatives.
